Puppy Buyers BEWARE email, classified ad scams
There are several scams going
around at the moment, one of which that we are getting regular emails
of about Bulldog Puppies British or English) for sale & Boston
Terriers.
Maybe other breeds but have not received any emails for other breeds
as yet.
They will email you everything
you want to know & send photos. They will ask for a deposit,
to be directly made in to account usually a western union transfer
Please be very careful, unfortunately
there are people out there who prey on the good faith and trust
people have.
NEWFOUNDLAND
Puppies
We have had several reports of buyers paying a deposit
for Newfoundland puppies or dogs and have received nothing from
this so called breeder. This person was a registered breeder but
Dogs NSW & Dogs SA currently don't have his prefix as registered.
They may now have a new prefix (Kennel name) registered but this
is not known.
We have been told this person is currently in South Australia
Once again please be careful, unfortunately there are people out
there who prey on the good faith and trust people have.

until the late stages when the tumors are resistant

Less than 50% of dogs treated for Hemangiosarcoma survive
more than 6 months
Cancer is robbing us of our beloved companions at an
unacceptable rate!

too late for successful treatment

- Find a cure for cancer

Forum - primary focus of this list will be on issues such as vaccination
and the risk/benefit ratio.
This list is intended
for dog owners in Australia who are concerned about various issues
and management factors that impact on the health, wellbeing and
behavior of our dogs.
Whether your dog is the result
of selective mating or a rescued mutt is not relevant. On this list
we base ‘value’ on the unique human/dog bond that develops from
shared quality companionship.
The primary focus of this list
will be on issues such as vaccination and the risk/benefit ratio
of other commonly recommended treatments and prophylactics. However,
other topics will also be discussed and these include factors like
feeding, ‘holistic’ care, traveling and holidaying with your dog,
legislation and by-laws, boarding, socializing and training.
The aim of this list is for participants
to network and to share their experiences and their views as well
as posting credible (reference sourced) information from elsewhere.
It is envisaged there will be
a spirit of goodwill and support flowing through this Group and
although it is a serious list, good humor and occasional Off Topic
diversions will always be welcomed.
Flaming will not be tolerated.
All references to products in which a member has a personal commercial
interest must be limited to it being included in the signature block

What's Happening?
4 month correspondence course available - It is on Understanding
Canine/Human Relationships
A four month 'Canine Human Relationships'
Course has been developed for those who wish to learn more about
dog behaviour. To increase knowledge and apply the theory to real
live dog problems. This course will definitely improve your problem
solving skills. This course has been set up to enhance instructor
and trainer skills, and covers the different methods of training,
pack structure, aggression and problem solving. These are just a
few of the subjects covered. The course has been accepted by the
University of Queensland. A certificate of competence will be given
by the University and Bonnie's on completion of the course. The
course can be undertaken by those living in remote areas or anyone
who feels they are not near adequate resources. There are four units,
each of which can be done over one month or more. A Qualifying Certificate
is presented upon completion of the course. The course is ideal
for instructors or trainers who wish to enhance their skills, both
in instructing and helping people with their dog behaviour problems.
